History
John Foy and Associates was founded in 1999 by John Foy, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin native and graduate of the University of Dayton and Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law. He was admitted to the practice of law in 1993 for the state of Georgia. Foy is admitted to the U.S. District Court Northern District of Georgia, as well as the Supreme Court of Georgia, and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Association of Justice, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, The American Bar Association, the American Academy of Trail Lawyers and the Atlanta Bar Association. The firm's 22+ lawyers specialize in representing individuals who have been injured in accidents due to other's negligence or by prescribed medications, and help clients file claims for Worker's Compensation and Social Security Disability.

Philanthropic and political work
The firm sponsors the charity Toys for Tots, Salvation Army Holiday Can-A-Thon, and other charities that service the local community.
John Foy and Associates introduced the Strong Arm Leukemia Scholarship, awarded twice a year to college or college bound students who have battled leukemia or whose life has been affected by it.
In January 2012, John Foy and Associates launched an attorney mentoring program, where law students visited the firm and blogged about it every week for a year. Students who complete the program receive a letter of reference from John Foy and a Question and Answer dinner. This program is currently on hiatus in lieu of other projects.
